POLL! Huh. Have Y’all Been Calling This Humboldt Place ‘Point of Cows’ and Just Not Telling Us?

LoCO file photograph that we didn’t know we have been taking at “Point of Cows,” apparently | Andrew Goff

During latest bout of workplace boredom, we discovered ourselves once more dreaming of a Wildcat drive out to the Lost Coast — not an unusual incidence, to be sincere. Such longing, we’ve discovered, could be partially quelled by zooming round Google Maps, which, at the moment, led to a curious discovery.

You know that stretch of chic coast you see to the correct simply because the Mattole Road descends to Singly Creek. You know. It’s that large reveal second of the drive that permits you to know that the gasoline funding was value it. Yeah, that half. Majestic. Well, Google lists that as being known as “Point of Cows.” Behold!

What!

You know the place that is going. In all of our years of residing in Humboldt County — since beginning, for you weirdos that may attempt to out-local us — now we have by no means heard anybody name this “Point of Cows.” Trust us. We would do not forget that.

So, Humboldt. Tell us. Have you been calling that place “Point of Cows” this complete time? Or what?

1,450 votes forged.

Poll closes: Tomorrow @ 4:20 p.m.

For what it’s value, “Point of Cows” at the moment holds a FIVE STAR score on Google — no argument from us — based mostly on 4 evaluations. (UPDATE: Since the publishing of this ballot, “Point of Cows” unblemished overview streak has ended):
