Gemini AI can now summarize what’s in your Google Drive folders

With the characteristic, you’ll be able to open a folder and choose the brand new “Summarize this folder” button on the prime of the web page. Gemini will then provide you with a breakdown of the folder’s contents. As famous by Google, you need to use Gemini to seek out particular information inside a folder, or ask questions on it, like “What is the theme of this folder?”

You may drag and drop a folder into the Gemini sidebar, in addition to right-click on a folder and select “Ask Gemini.”

For now, Google says Gemini can solely present details about textual content paperwork, PDFs, spreadsheets, and displays. However, when 9to5Google examined the device, it discovered that Gemini may establish photos in a folder, too.

Google first introduced Gemini to the sidebar in Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides in June. Gemini’s folder abstract characteristic is rolling out now to Google One AI Premium subscribers, together with Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, and Education Premium customers.
