Darren Rizzi: Alvin Kamara’s groin damage is “extra important than we initially thought”

Saints operating again Alvin Kamara seems unlikely to play on Monday evening in Green Bay, and it’s unclear whether or not he’ll play once more this season.

New Orleans interim head coach Darren Rizzi stated immediately that the groin damage Kamara suffered on Sunday is critical, and the Saints don’t know when he’ll be again.

“The state of affairs with Alvin proper now, it was most likely a bit extra important than we initially thought. He’s week-to-week for the time being. I’m going to be sincere, it doesn’t look nice for this week,” Rizzi stated. “We’ll see if it’s going to be a number of weeks. He doesn’t look nice for this week.”

Realistically, the Saints might be mathematically eradicated from playoff competition this week, and if that occurs it’s arduous to imagine they’d rush Kamara again from an damage. It’s doable that Kamara’s season is over.
