Lady Gaga’s upcoming seventh studio album guarantees to take followers on a deeply private journey.
In a brand new interview with the Los Angeles Times printed December 19, the pop icon described the mission — slated for launch in February — as a genre-bending assortment impressed by her life’s “chaos” and the teachings she’s discovered alongside the best way.
“Every music that I wrote, I simply stored getting type of swept away in these totally different desires I used to be having concerning the previous — nearly like a recollection of all these unhealthy selections that I made in my life,” Gaga shared, including, “But it ends on this very completely happy place.”
The album marks a daring return to pop for Gaga, who credit her fiancé, Michael Polansky, with encouraging her to dive again into the style.
She teased followers with the lead single, Disease, a darkish, dance-pop anthem launched in November that landed at No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100. Additionally, the cinematic ballad Die with a Smile, a collaboration with Bruno Mars that topped the Billboard Global 200 for eight weeks, is ready to be a centerpiece of the album.
“It’s an enormous a part of my album,” Gaga stated of the duet. “It was like this lacking piece… the thought of what we’d do if the world was ending.”
