The Uygur Rights Advocacy Project, the Canada Tibet Committee and 20 individuals from the 2 organisations had been positioned on the sanctions listing, the Chinese overseas ministry stated on Sunday, citing China’s anti-sanctions regulation.
Their belongings inside China have been frozen, all transactions and cooperation tasks have been banned, and individuals on the listing have been barred from coming into China, together with Hong Kong and Macau, from Saturday, in response to the ministry.
Of the individuals on the listing, 15 are members of the Uygur Rights Advocacy Project and the remaining are from the Canada Tibet Committee.
Chen Quanguo, the previous Communist Party chief of Xinjiang, and Wu Yingjie, former social gathering head of Tibet, have been each on the sanctions listing launched by Canada on December 10.
