The Russian operator of a cargo ship that sank within the Mediterranean Sea between Spain and Algeria mentioned Thursday that it had been hit by a collection of explosions in an act of sabotage, experiences the AP. Oboronlogistika, a state-controlled firm that operated the Ursa Major freighter, mentioned it was wrecked by three highly effective explosions simply above the waterline in what it described as a “terrorist assault” that brought about it to sink.
It mentioned in an announcement carried by Russia’s state RIA Novosti information company that the explosions left a gap within the ship’s starboard and crammed the engine room with acrid smoke, hampering the crew’s makes an attempt to entry it.
