Bill Maher Might Quit ‘Real Time’ Because Donald Trump Jokes

New rule: if Donald Trump is getting again his previous job, then it won’t be value staying at your present job. That’s the premise that Bill Maher floated on his “Club Random” podcast talking with Jane Fonda in an episode launched Sunday. While interviewing the actor and activist, Maher expressed exhaustion on the prospect of overlaying Trump’s administration for the following 4 years.

“I imply I could stop,” Maher informed Fonda. “I don’t wish to do one other… I did Trump. I did all of the Trump stuff earlier than anyone. I referred to as him a con man earlier than anyone. I did, ‘He’s a mafia boss.’ I used to be the one who stated he wasn’t going to concede the election. I’ve finished it. I’ve seen this fucking—”

“Well then how come he’s so hostile to Jimmy Kimmel and to not you?” Fonda interrupted.

“He’s very hostile to me. He tweets about me each week. Every week he by accident watches my present and goes, ‘Low rankings loser!’ I’m uninterested in it,” Maher answered. “The present is the politics. There isn’t any different factor. And he’s going to dominate the information like he at all times does.”

President-elect Trump final made headlines for attacking Maher again in September, when he wrote in a publish on his platform Truth Social, “I seldom watch Low Rated Bill Maher however, after I do, I marvel on the faux laughter on the Show. It seems like a nasty ‘Laugh Machine,’ it’s so obnoxious and disgusting, similar to him, at all times laughing it doesn’t matter what is alleged.”

Whether or not Maher is significantly weighing an exit from “Real Time” because of Trump’s coming presidency, the host is supposedly on the books by 2026. Warner Bros. Discovery and HBO renewed “Real Time” for 2 extra seasons again in March.

“Two extra years within the dream job of a lifetime, on the community so many dream of being on — I believe that’s what we name a no brainer,” Maher stated in an announcement on the time. Maher has led “Real Time” on HBO since 2003 and has finished 12 comedy specials for the community. “Real Time” was final renewed in 2021 with a two-season guarantor.
