Bourbon Street reopens to lighter crowds a day after New Orleans assault

NEW ORLEANS — Bourbon Street reopened Thursday to a lightweight crowd as vacationers and locals veered away from the world-famous vacation spot after an attacker plowed via crowds of revealers, killing more than a dozen people on New Year’s Day.

Rick Goldstein, 72 of Houston, stated he drove 4 hours to rejoice and ring in 2025.

He, too, stated the assault didn’t deter him from wanting to go to the historic vacation spot.

“I’m in search of a spot to get dinner,” he stated down on Bourbon Street. “And to hearken to some music.”
