Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited Donald Trump’s Florida resort on Friday to satisfy with the U.S. president-elect, days after Trump threatened to slap tariffs on Canadian imports over border-related considerations.

Trudeau, whose public itinerary didn’t record a scheduled go to to Florida, was seen leaving a resort in West Palm Beach, Florida, to go to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, in line with a Reuters witness.

Trudeau’s workplace and Trump’s representatives didn’t instantly reply to requests for remark.

Trump threatened on Monday to impose a 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico till the international locations clamped down on medicine, significantly fentanyl, and migrants crossing their borders with the U.S.
