Christina Aguilera received’t let the negativity carry into her 2025.
On Tuesday, the 44-year-old pop icon addressed relentless commentary about her look in a strong Instagram put up that includes screenshots of each reward and criticism, all set to Little Mix’s self-confidence anthem Wasabi.
Her message was plain and easy: “No one deserves a proof.”
In the montage, Aguilera highlighted the unfair scrutiny girls face. “Women are at all times on some stage shamed, labelled, judged; we’re seen as, like, vessels to please different individuals,” a voiceover mentioned.
In her caption, the Beautiful hitmaker doubled down: “This 12 months, doing one thing somewhat completely different. This is a reminder to everybody that you’re your OWN STORYTELLER in your OWN LIFE. No one else can dictate who you might be.”
After a long time within the highlight, Aguilera shared how fixed body-related criticism formed her earlier years. In August, she instructed Glamour in regards to the stress she felt in her early profession: “When you’re a teen, you’ve a really completely different physique… Then I had business individuals: ‘They preferred your physique and the way you have been as a thin teenager.’”
Now, Aguilera is embracing self-acceptance, as she wrote in her recap put up: “Everyone will decide you. No matter WHAT you do. And/ or what you don’t do. Acceptance comes with accepting your self first.”
