Company recollects 541,000 winter tires that don’t meet traction requirements


An organization that sells alternative winter tires is recalling greater than 541,000 of them within the U.S. as a result of they don’t have sufficient snow traction to fulfill North American requirements.

Prinx Chengshan Tire North America is recalling over 100 sizes of Fortune Tormenta and Prinx Hicountry tires with three-peak mountain snowflake symbols on the sidewalls.

The firm says in paperwork posted Tuesday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that the tires handed European checks however seemingly wouldn’t meet traction requirements in North America.

The security company says tires with out ample snow traction can enhance the chance of a crash.
