Disney, Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery have referred to as off plans to launch their sports activities streaming service Venu, the businesses stated in a joint assertion Friday.
“After cautious consideration, now we have collectively agreed to discontinue the Venu Sports three way partnership and never launch the streaming service,” they stated within the assertion. “In an ever-changing market, we decided that it was greatest to fulfill the evolving calls for of sports activities followers by specializing in present merchandise and distribution channels. We are pleased with the work that has been accomplished on Venu to this point and grateful to the Venu employees, whom we’ll help by way of this transition interval.”
Venu was first announced in February and meant to mix the stay sports activities property of Fox, WBD and Disney-owned ESPN.
