As seen throughout the December sixth 2024 version of WWE Smackdown, the Motor City Machine Guns defended the tag workforce titles towards DIY after The Street Profits had been attacked by thriller assailants backstage.
As the match progressed, Tommaso Ciampa tried getting Johnny Gargano to be extra aggressive. Just when it appeared like Ciampa and Gargano had been going to have a falling out, Gargano turned heel through the use of a low blow on Sabin whereas Ciampa distracted the referee. DIY then received the tag workforce titles after ending off Sabin with their finisher.
