Mae, a 3-year-old Australian Shepherd by accident ate a whole bottle of “5-HTP”

It’s a human complement usually used for temper assist.

The drug brought on a harmful situation often called serotonin syndrome.

Mae was dropped at Dove Lewis Emergency Veterinary Hospital in northwest Portland.

According to the vet’s workplace, Mae was in essential situation.

They did a dialysis-like remedy, as a last-ditch effort to assist take away the toxins from her blood and assist her failing organs.

Over seven hours, the remedy filtered out the toxins, and 48 hours later, she was able to return residence to Hood River along with her household.
