Actor Mark Withers, identified for his roles in “Dynasty” and different TV collection, has died.
Withers, 77, died Nov. 22.
His daughter, Jessie Withers, advised Variety that the trigger was pancreatic most cancers.
“He confronted his sickness with the identical power and dignity he dropped at his craft, making a legacy of heat, humor, and dedication, alongside together with his outstanding skill to make each function unforgettable,” she stated in an announcement.
The actor, who hailed from Binghamton, New York, performed Ted Dinard, lover to Steven Carrington (Al Corley) in ABC’s in style primetime cleaning soap “Dynasty” in 1981.
Ted’s dying by the hands of oil large Blake Carrington (John Forsythe), Steven’s father, was a serious occurring within the present’s first season (see clip under).
Withers’ different TV credit included Nineteen Seventies and ’80s exhibits “Wonder Woman,” “The Dukes of Hazzard,” “Magnum, P.I.,” “Days of Our Lives,” “Remington Steele,” “L.A. Law,” “Matlock” and a 23-episode run as Peter Colcourt on the crime drama “Kaz.”
After a hiatus for many of the ’90s, he returned to TV within the early 2000s with roles in episodes of “Frasier” and “The King of Queens.”
His later credit included “Stranger Things,” “True Blood,” “Sense8″ and “Criminal Minds.”
Withers began out in a McDonald’s industrial and appeared in advertisements for Folger’s, American Airlines, Irish Spring and Crest.
He is survived by his daughter Jessie and his spouse, Haiyan Liu Withers.
