Fatah, Hamas resolve on committee to manage Gaza, report claims – Israel News


A doc printed by the London-based Qatari newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadeed on Tuesday alleged to indicate the foundational settlement of the committee that might administer the Gaza Strip after the conflict.

The committee “administers the Gaza Strip, and its reference is the Palestinian authorities and is liable for all fields,” the alleged doc said, in line with the report.

The purpose of the committee is to uphold the unity of the Palestinian territories and strengthen communications between the Palestinian Authority authorities within the West Bank and Gaza. 

According to the report, the doc additionally specified that the committee would comply with the “Palestinian political system” within the West Bank.

Agreement in Cairo

The doc was reportedly agreed upon by Hamas and Fatah officers who held discussions in Cairo final week.

The report claimed that Israel had 24 hours to reply and state its reasoning if it had been to reject the settlement.

Additionally, the report claimed that the Palestinian Authority additionally had 24 hours to present its response to all related events.
