Kari Lake nominated as Trump’s decide for director of Voice of America broadcast

President-elect Trump tapped Kari Lake as the subsequent director of the Voice of America, a state-funded U.S. authorities broadcaster.

“I’m happy to announce that Kari Lake will function our subsequent Director of the Voice of America. She shall be appointed by, and work carefully with, our subsequent head of the U.S. Agency for Global Media, who I’ll announce quickly, to make sure that the American values of Freedom and Liberty are broadcast across the World FAIRLY and ACCURATELY, not like the lies unfold by the Fake News Media,” Trump wrote in a launch on Wednesday evening.

Lake was a longtime Arizona broadcaster who ran unsuccessfully for public workplace in 2022 and 2024.

Voice of America is an influential broadcast channel that serves information, data, and cultural programming by the Internet, cellular and social media, radio, and tv. 

The broadcaster serves in over 40 languages.
