Lindsay Lohan is remembering the inventive genius behind considered one of her most iconic roles.
Following the demise of Charles Shyer, the co-writer of The Parent Trap, Lohan, 38, took to Instagram on December 29 to pay tribute to the enduring director.
“He will all the time be in my coronary heart, as will all my fond reminiscences of him,” she wrote, alongside a photograph of them on set. “My ideas are together with his household and family members throughout this troublesome time.”
Shyer, who handed away at age 83, was celebrated for his intensive contributions to Hollywood. As the ex-husband and inventive accomplice of The Parent Trap director Nancy Meyers, Shyer co-wrote the beloved 1998 movie that launched Lohan to stardom.
Meyers shared her personal emotional tribute on Instagram with images from their time working collectively, captioned merely, “Charles Shyer 1941–2024,” accompanied by a damaged coronary heart emoji.
In the feedback, Lohan mirrored Meyers’ sentiment along with her personal damaged coronary heart emoji, whereas her mom Dina Lohan added, “So sorry in your loss.”
Shyer’s household confirmed his passing on December 27, expressing their profound grief in an announcement to Deadline: “His loss leaves an unfillable gap in our lives, however his legacy lives on via his kids and the 5 a long time of great work he’s left behind.”
The legendary author and director leaves behind a profession that formed numerous Hollywood classics, from Father of the Bride to Private Benjamin.
