ISLAMABAD: As temperatures proceed to drop in winter season, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on Tuesday authorized a rise within the gasoline costs for the present fiscal yr.
A notification issued by the company stated that Ogra authorized a rise of 8.71% for the customers of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and 25.78% enhance for the customers of Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGCL).
According to the notification, the regulatory authority has despatched the choice to extend the costs of gasoline to the federal authorities.
However, the ultimate resolution concerning hike within the costs will likely be made by the federal authorities.
The Ogra has sought to repair common gasoline value for Sui Northern at Rs1,778.35 per MMBTU and Rs1,762.51 per MMBTU for Sui Southern, stated the notification.
“Ogra, underneath Section 8(2) of OGRA Ordinance, 2002, vide its selections dated December 17, 2024 has decided the Review of Estimated Revenue Requirement (RERR) of SNGPL & SSGCL for FY 2024-25.
“Both determinations have been despatched to federal authorities for receipt of category-wise pure gasoline sale value recommendation as required underneath Section 8(3) of the OGRA Ordinance,” stated the notification.
