Olamide Zaccheaus catches 7-yard TD for Commanders

LANDOVER, Md. — The Washington Commanders did not waste any time being aggressive — and quarterback Jayden Daniels made certain they have been rewarded along with his twenty third landing go of the season.

With 9 minutes, 37 seconds left within the first quarter, Washington confronted fourth-and-2 on the Atlanta 7-yard line. Coach Dan Quinn did not hesitate to go for the primary down and Daniels took it from there.

Daniels faked a handoff to operating again Brian Robinson Jr., simulating a zone-read play. He stored the ball, began to his left, and, with security Jessie Bates III charging at him, threw again throughout his physique to receiver Olamide Zaccheaus in the long run zone for a landing.

The play left security Mike Hughes in battle: if he stayed again, Daniels may have hit tight finish Ben Sinnott within the flat; as a substitute, Hughes was caught within the center and Zaccheaus cradled his third landing catch in two weeks.

Washington security Quan Martin intercepted quarterback Michael Penix on the primary collection and returned the ball 30 yards to the Falcons’ 38-yard line, organising Daniels’ landing go for a 7-0 lead.
