The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors has introduced the appointment of Dr. Sharon Wang because the county’s new well being officer.
Wang was appointed on Nov. 19 and stepped into her function two days later, in accordance with county officers.
“Wang brings a wealth of expertise and experience to this important function, the place she is going to oversee public well being initiatives and lead the county’s efforts in selling well being and wellness for all residents,” county officers said.
Wang graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, and accomplished her coaching in dietetics at Yale New Haven Hospital. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathy diploma from the Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, the place she graduated fifth in her class, whereas concurrently finishing her grasp’s diploma in well being schooling, in accordance with county officers.
Following her medical coaching, Wang accomplished an inside medication residency and an infectious ailments fellowship on the University of California, Davis. She is twin board-certified in inside medication and infectious ailments.
