President-elect Donald Trump stated Thursday that he and former President Barack Obama “most likely do” like one another.
He was chatting with a reporter when he was requested a couple of viral video of the 2 presidents chatting throughout President Jimmy Carter’s funeral Thursday.
“I did not understand how pleasant it seemed,” stated Trump from his Mar-a-Lago membership in Florida.
“I stated, ‘Boy, they appear to be two those that like one another.’ And we most likely do,” Trump stated. “We have slightly totally different philosophies, proper? But we most likely do. I do not know. We simply acquired alongside. But I acquired together with nearly all people.”
An adviser to Obama didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark Thursday night time.
The staunch political rivals have steadily criticized one another in recent times, and Trump unfold the so-called birther conspiracy idea about Obama, falsely asserting that he was not born within the United States.
Trump has repeatedly attacked the Obamas, saying Obama was an “ineffective” and “horrible” president and calling former first lady Michelle Obama “nasty” in October.
The Obamas slammed Trump on the campaign trail final 12 months.
