The NBA fined Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards $50,000 on Monday for “making obscene gestures towards a recreation official.”
It marks the fifth time this season that Edwards has been fined, totaling $285,000.
This newest incident occurred Saturday through the second quarter of Minnesota’s 127-125 loss to the visiting Memphis Grizzlies.
Edwards beforehand price himself $35,000 when he made an obscene gesture on the court docket throughout Minnesota’s street win over Sacramento on Nov. 15.
The two-time All-Star and 2023-24 All-NBA choice then was fined thrice throughout December.
He misplaced $25,000 for utilizing profane language throughout a postgame interview after the Timberwolves gained at Golden State; $75,000 two weeks later when he used profanity whereas criticizing the officiating from a house loss to the Warriors; and $100,000 for extra profanity in an interview Dec. 27 after Minnesota beat Houston.
Edwards, 23, is averaging 25.4 factors, 5.7 rebounds and 4.2 assists per recreation this season.
