Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated on Sunday that the passenger airplane that crashed in Kazakhstan killing 38 individuals had been broken as a result of taking pictures from the bottom in Russia, Azerbaijan state tv reported.

Aliyev stated he regretted that “some circles” in Russia had tried to hush up the reality in regards to the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines planes by sowing false narratives in regards to the causes of the crash.

On Saturday, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin apologized to Aliyev for what the Kremlin known as a “tragic incident” over Russia during which the Azerbaijan Airlines airplane crashed after Russian air defenses had been fired towards Ukrainian drones.
