Tina Knowles sparked confusion after her Instagram account “favored” a submit saying the bombshell lawsuit accusing Jay-Z of kid rape.
The 70-year-old matriarch — mom of Beyoncé and mother-in-law to Jay-Z — shortly addressed the state of affairs on Monday, December 9, claiming her account had been hacked.
“As you all know I don’t play about my household,” Knowles posted on Instagram. “So if you happen to see one thing uncharacteristic of me. Just know that it isn’t me!” She doubled down in her caption, including, “Please cease enjoying with me !!!! ‘No weapon fashioned in opposition to my household shall prosper.’”
The controversy unfolded after a number of reviews confirmed that her official Instagram account interacted with an ABC 7 Chicago News submit detailing the lawsuit in opposition to Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Filed by lawyer Tony Buzbee on December 8, the swimsuit alleges the music moguls raped a 13-year-old woman at a 2000 MTV VMAs afterparty.
Jay-Z has vehemently denied the allegations, calling them a “blackmail try” in a press release shared with Page Six. “These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a legal criticism, not a civil one!” he wrote. His main concern, he famous, is the affect on his spouse, Beyoncé, and their three kids.
Buzbee, in the meantime, dismissed Jay-Z’s “blackmail” claims, asserting that his shopper “by no means demanded a penny” and solely sought “confidential mediation.”
