Eminem’s mom Debbie dies at 69 after ‘terminal sickness’: Report

Eminem’s mom, Debbie Nelson, has handed away at 69 following a battle with superior lung most cancers.

TMZ reported on Tuesday morning (Dec. 3) that Debbie died the earlier evening in St. Joseph, Missouri, simply three months after her most cancers prognosis was reported by a number of shops.

In September, InContact Weekly reported that Debbie was “terminally ailing” and was spending her ultimate days between the most cancers centre and members of the family. Sources near the household shared that she had little or no time left.

The rapper, 52, has been open about his troubled relationship with Debbie, usually referencing their rocky historical past in his music. In tracks like Cleanin’ Out My Closet (2002), he accused her of neglect and abuse. This was regardless of the defamation lawsuit Debbie filed in 1999 and later dropped.

Over the years, the pair made efforts to reconcile. Eminem expressed remorse and apologised for Cleanin’ Out My Closet within the 2013 track Headlights.

“I’ll all the time love you from afar, ‘trigger you’re my mother,” he painfully admitted within the track.

For her half, Debbie even congratulated Eminem on his Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2022, expressing satisfaction and love in a since-deleted video message.

Eminem’s father, Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr., handed away in 2019.
