A federal choose on Tuesday quickly blocked Special Counsel Jack Smith from releasing his report referring to his now-suspended investigations into President-elect Trump’s alleged 2020 election interference and alleged improper retention of labeled information.
Trump co-defendants Waltine Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira filed an emergency movement to dam the reported imminent launch of Smith’s ultimate report.
U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Florida Aileen Cannon dominated in favor of Nauta and De Oliveira to “stop irreparable hurt.”
Cannon stated Smith is “quickly enjoined” from “releasing, sharing, or transmitting the Final Report or any drafts of such Report outdoors the Department of Justice.”
The order stays in impact till three days after a decision is introduced from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
