All of Broadway mourned when Tony-winning actor Gavin Creel died.
His many co-stars, together with Bette Midler and New Jersey’s Laura Benanti, shared remembrances on social media.
But certainly one of them, actor Zachary Levi, used the lack of the actor to advance a bogus declare.
Levi implied {that a} COVID-19 vaccine brought about Creel’s demise.
Creel, 48, died in September after being identified in July with most cancers — metastatic melanotic peripheral nerve sheath sarcoma.
“I do know that that is going to offend some individuals and make some individuals mad, and I want it didn’t,” Levi stated in an October Instagram Live video, per Deadline. “So, a number of weeks in the past, my buddy Gavin Creel died. Benanti, who starred with each Creel and Levi within the 2016 Broadway musical “She Loves Me,” slammed Levi for his feedback in a current interview with Eric Williams on “That’s a Gay Ass Podcast” (see under).
“To use his (Creel’s) reminiscence for his political agenda and to look at him attempt to make himself cry till he had one single tear which he didn’t wipe away, I used to be like ‘f— you ceaselessly,’” she stated.
Levi, who rose to fame main the NBC collection “Chuck,” went on to star in DC’s “Shazam!” motion pictures. He endorsed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. within the 2024 presidential election, then Donald Trump.
Benanti, a Tony winner who grew up in Kinnelon and lives in Essex County — her current TV and movie credit embody “Elsbeth,” “Goodrich,” “No Hard Feelings” and “The Gilded Age” — was nominated alongside Levi for “She Loves Me.”

“I by no means appreciated him,” stated Benanti, 45, who can be identified for her uncanny Melania Trump impressions on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
“Everyone was like ‘he’s so nice’ and I used to be like ‘no, he’s not. He’s sucking up all of the f—ing vitality on this room. He desires to mansplain all people’s half to them.’”
“He actually sucked all people in along with his, like, dance social gathering vitality,” she stated. “Like, ‘we’re doing a dance social gathering at half-hour.’ I used to be like ‘good luck, have enjoyable.’”
