A passenger on a home flight in Mexico tried to divert the airplane into the United States earlier than he was stopped by the crew, the airline mentioned on social media on Sunday.
Volaris mentioned the crew on flight 3041 from El Bajio to Tijuana managed to detain the passenger earlier than the flight was diverted to Guadalajara in central Mexico. Once it arrived there, the passenger was handed over to authorities.

The remainder of the passengers and crew later continued to their vacation spot in Tijuana on the border with the U.S.
