Passenger on JetBlue flight opens emergency door, deploys slide at Logan Airport

BOSTON – A passenger on a JetBlue flight opened an emergency exit door and deployed the slide whereas the aircraft was taxiing at Logan Airport Tuesday evening, the FAA mentioned. 

The male passenger opened the door at about 7:30 p.m. on Flight 161. The Airbus A320 was headed to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

There had been no accidents reported, based on Massport.

A passenger opened the emergency exit door and deployed the slide on a JetBlue flight taxiing at Logan Airport.

One particular person detained by State Police

A spokesperson for JetBlue mentioned the passenger opened an overwing exit “for unknown causes” and remained on board the aircraft.

Massachusetts State Police troopers responded to studies of a disturbance on the plane after it had entered the lively taxiway. One particular person has been detained.

The FAA is investigating the incident.
