The passing of Ratan Tata, considered one of India’s most revered industrialists, on October 9 on the age of 86, left many in shock. Tata, the previous chairperson of Tata Group, handed away at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. To honour his reminiscence, Aishwarya Bakeries, a Tamil Nadu-based bakery, has created a 7-foot-tall cake sculpture depicting Tata along with his beloved canine. The cake, made for the bakery’s annual Christmas and New Year celebrations, exhibits Tata in a blue shirt and gray pants, smiling whereas shaking arms along with his German Shepherd canine, Tito, who holds a ball in its mouth. Crafted from 60 kg of sugar and 250 eggs, the statue symbolizes Tata’s love for animals, notably his pets. The beautiful cake sculpture has drawn giant crowds, with individuals posing and taking footage exterior the bakery.

Tata, identified for his affection towards animals, had two canines throughout his life — Tito, a German Shepherd, and Goa, a stray canine. The ice cake sculpture will stay on show all through the Christmas season.
